Weekend runners, including Atmospherical at Caulfield

Congratulations to the owners of Diamondsinthenight, winner at Canterbury Wednesday. It had been a frustrating run of placings and hard luck stories for this horse so it was great to see him break through for a much deserved win. He is starting to assemble a decent record now after already having two previous trainers before walking into Pfieffer's barn. He has now had 25 starts, 5 wins, 4 seconds, 3 thirds.
RUNNERS
Caulfield Saturday
Atmospherical is in race 6 with Craig Williams to ride from barrier 5. She is going great with two strong trials under her belt. She travelled to Melbourne on Monday and has settled in well. She is primed for this first up run and will be extremely competitive. She lines up in a pretty smart field though with Chautauqua the obvious one to beat. He will start odds on and is a deserved favourite. It's hard to see us beating him at the weight scale but you never know in racing. Atmospherical is ready to go and we would be happy with a place in this Group 2 event but we will be trying to knock off the odds on pop. Strong each way bet currently $7.

Empress Eleven is in race 4 with Sam Clipperton to ride from barrier 3. She has shown us glimpses of ability but is still fairly new to the whole caper and looks like she wants a big of ground. She steps up to 1350m here and the race looks winnable with no obvious standouts. She will probably get better as she steps up to 1600m in another run or two but if she can improve a touch from her last run when she made late ground, then she will be an each way chance at good odds.
Little Patrick is in race 7 with Jason Collett to ride from barrier 6. He is first up from a spell and has the benefit of a recent trial. The race is a tricky one with only 8 runners and 5 real chances from the top 5 in the order. He's had two wins from six starts and both wins have been at this distance. This will be his toughest test to date so a small each way bet would be advised.
