The Autumn Carnival Is Well & Truly Here & Pfieffer Is Heading Into It In Good Form With A Record Breaking Season In His Sights
The stable for the 2018/2019 has been on fire and that’s a testament to Pfieffer and his team with how his horses are trained/targeted and primed to peak for race day success. Horses continue to perform race in race out and that can be seen with the stable’s statistics.
With four months left in the season, Pfieffer Racing is very much on target for a record breaking season and on Australia’s biggest race day with Winx, The Autumn Sun & Redzel running this weekend, Pfieffer will be looking to put the icing on the cake on his impressive season and make it a first for David Pfieffer himself.

I Am Excited On Target For Her Group 1 Assignment
I Am Excited lines up for her Group 1 assignment this Saturday in the Group 1 Galaxy Handicap over 1100m with Corey Brown in the saddle jumping from barrier 5 carrying 51kg. It’s the first time the consistent and honest mare carriers such a low weight, so no doubt she’ll be jumping out of her skin.
Her first up run was very good carrying top weight for a gallant third and she’s since had a little freshen up to be primed for greatness on Saturday.
The team have always held her in high regard from day 1 and this race looks to set it up nicely for a much deserved win at the top level. With the likes of Redzel, Nature Strip, Ball Of Muscle, Jungle Edge etc, there’s plenty of speed on in the race for the flying back marker to run home and take out the race, hopefully in similar style as she did in the Gilgai Stakes and provide Pfieffer with a career high win, one that would be his first Group 1.

Randwick 1100m Track Record Holder Prophet’s Thumb On Target For Saturday
Prophet’s Thumb who made it back to back wins for Pfieffer Racing in the Listed Fireball Stakes having won it in 2018 with I Am Excited lines up this Saturday for the 2019 Darby Munro Stakes at Rosehill where she too will be looking to make it back to back wins in the race for the stable. The up and coming filly who won in dominant aststart after weaving her way through the field with bumps and checks up along the rail on some unfavourable ground, has since been training well and is ready to go for Saturday.
A raw filly who faces her toughest task to date with a wide barrier, she takes on the likes of up and coming gelding Classique Legend and consistent and promising horse Gem Song. A wide barrier is never ideal in any race, especially in a black type race, but a race with plenty of speed on and a back marker certainly is. It’ll no doubt bring Prophet’s down the home straight out wide for a clear passage of running, something that she hasn't seen yet, to go through her gears for the first time. The filly will be looking to make it back to back wins in the race for the stable and provide Pfieffer with his biggest day yet.

The filly also holds a nomination in the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint throughout the carnival, a race in which the stable finished third in last year.

Comment - Ran a solid race last start where there was no speed in the race at all. Keeps getting better and better. Likely to handle the wet track

BUCKLE UP BABY

Comment - A quirky filly, where we very much see the best of her on a wet track. She finally looks to be getting that this coming Saturday off the back of a solid run last start at Canterbury where she didn't have much luck but hit the line in nice fashion. Going well
Saturday Kembla Grange Race 5 - 4:14pm Collegians RLFC Maiden Plate 1400m
SHE’S SUREEL

Comment - By Dundeel, we will be seeing the best of her over more ground, as this is very much a stepping stone towards that. Wet track will be an added bonus to her though
