Augusta Girl is in race 2 with Christian Reith to ride from barrier 1. She is first up from a spell with two trials under her belt so she is fit and ready to go. It looks like a winnable race with no obvious standouts. The dangers come from the first starters of Moody and Oshea. Our filly has race experience on her side and will be thereabouts.

Cradle Me is in race 5 with Christian Reith to ride from barrier 4. She has been racing in great form in tough races and just ran out of luck at Canterbury when charging late and getting flattened. This race is a similar field but we have drawn better and should be able to settle closer stepping up to 1200m. I think this is her best chance to win a stakes race after placing at stakes level twice this preparation.

Randwick Saturday 10.1.2015

Chestnut Road is in race 4 with Tye Angland to ride from barrier 1. His first up run was very strong when coming from a clear last to finish 3rd at Randwick over 1200m. He steps up to 1400m now and that will really help. The race looks winnable with no obvious dangers.

Inside Job is in race 7 with Brodie Loy to ride from barrier 5. He has been in great form carrying big weights and drawing wide barriers. He drops now to 52kg with the claim for Brodie and he has drawn well in barrier 5. He steps up in class but he has raced some of these horses before and beaten them. With conditions really suiting him we think he will win.
