Tahitian Black and Inside Job go head to head at Randwick

Congratulations to the owners of Humble, winner at Wyong yesterday. She is a filly that we believed could have won the two year old Magic Millions in 2014 and we aimed her up again at three year old Magic Millions in 2015 but she had some injuries and also a fiery temperament. It was a great relief to see her break through at her 5th start and confirm the ability that she has shown us on the training tracks. She came from last and charged passed some handy gallopers to win easily. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards for Humble from here on.

RUNNERS

Randwick Saturday

Inside Job and Tahitian Black are in race 4 with Brodie Loy and Hugh Bowman to ride from barrier 6 & 5 respectively. We try to keep our runners separate but these two clash at Randwick tomorrow and we believe we can run the quinella. It will be an interesting race. There looks to be plenty of speed on paper which suits both horses but moreso Tahitian Black. He loves a hot speed and he has a great record with Bowman on his back as he is a difficult horse to ride. Inside Job also loves the speed on over 1000m. He holds the record over 1000m on the Kensington track and won last start over 1000m in BM 90 at Randwick so his stats give him a great chance. I think the battle will come down to the best ride. Can Brodie match it with Bowman?? It will be a test and there are dangers with Nuclear Class meeting Inside Job 2kg better from last start and Straturbo coming off a strong win at the Magic Millions meeting. The quinella would be the perfect result for the stable and owners.

Chestnut Road is in race 8 with Tommy Berry to ride from barrier 15. He's been in good form this preparation with two thirds at Randwick at his first two runs from a spell. He has drawn awkwardly and there doesn't appear to be much speed in the race so we may elect to ride him in a more forward position and put him in the race. He is a tough staying type of horse so 1400m might be short of his best but we expect him to be competitive

Wyong Sunday

Augusta Girl is in race 5 with Blake Shinn to ride from barrier 2. She ran a solid 4th first up from a spell only beaten 2 lengths. Christian Reith thought she over-raced a touch with the blinkers on, spending too much energy early which stopped her from finishing the race off late. We have taken the blinkers off in an attempt to get her to relax and save her energy for a finishing burst. She has drawn well and has the services of an in form Blake Shinn. She will strip fitter for the first up run and will be hard to beat.

'''Canterbury Monday

'''

Little Patrick is in race 6 with Sam Clipperton to ride from barrier 3. He won two in row at Cessnock last preparation but takes on a much tougher assignment first up in town at Canterbury. He is down in the weights and will get a good run from barrier 3. He will probably be looking for a bit further later on in the preparation so we will be happy will a solid run and if he could run a place at good odds that would be great.
