Strategic Colt targeted at $2,500,000 two year old Magic Millions

Strategic was a great two year old, winning his first 5 starts including the Pago Pago Stakes. He also won the Group 1 Lightning Stakes. He has sired 554 individual winners with 25 of those winning stakes/group races. We have only ever bought and trained one horse by Strategic and his name is Inside Job (purchased for $22,000) - 28 starts, 8 wins, 5 seconds, 2 thirds for $248,880 in prizemoney and still more to come. Our colt reminded us a lot of Inside Job but he is stronger and more precocious than Inside Job was as a yearling who didn't race until he was a late three year old.

We think this colt can race as an early two year old which is why he has gone straight to former Olymic rider Shane Rose to be broken in. He is eligible for the $10 millions Magic Millions Race Series and will be targetted at the $2.5 million two year old Magic Millions in January.
