Pfieffer Racing Open Day 2016

Pfieffer Racing will put their best hooves forward on Sunday July 3 with the stable's annual Open Day set to be held at their Warwick Farm base.

A popular event that brings together clients, popular racing identities, bloodstock representatives and new faces, the open day caters for all ages and members of the horse fraternity, as well as serving as an ideal opportunity for new owners to learn all about the world of racing from a 'behind the scenes' point of view.

"I love hosting the open day each year as it gives old and new clients the chance to have a relaxing day meeting people, seeing their horses and getting a feel for the day to day operations of my stables" comments David Pfieffer.

"The day offers the best chance for anyone who loves racing and would like to perhaps own a racehorse one day to have an insight into the training business and meet great people who love the industry".

On display during the day will be a few of Pfieffer's newest acquisitions from the leading yearling sales around Australia where guests can hear firsthand how Pfieffer selects the premium picks of a crop.

"I like to introduce the latest yearling purchases and available horses and discuss their pedigrees and physical presence, to explain the importance of conformation in young horses and to discuss the latest breeding trends of our ever-expanding industry" said Pfieffer.

The stable will also no doubt parade a few of his headline horses who will be well into their winter racing preparations, and guests will be able to tour the barn to meet the thoroughbreds that make the 35-strong Team Pfieffer.

Pfieffer's stables are ideally located on Warwick Farm Racecourse, with access available from both entrances off Hume Highway and Governor Macquarie Drive.

"There will be great food and plenty to drink on offer so everyone is welcome, even the kids" he continued.

"We also have an incredible raffle this year with an official pair of ATC jockey pants up for grabs that have been signed by 30 of Australia's leading jockeys who rode on Stradbroke Day at Eagle Farm.

"The jodhpurs were donated by Tommy Berry who will chose a charity to donate the proceeds too. It's a great prize and no doubt a great cause".

Raffle tickets are available now at just $10 a ticket and the draw will be held on the open day.
