Humble wins 1100m Maiden Handicap at Wyong 22nd Jan 2015

Humble ran a great race at Wyong to win by three quarters of a length. She was held tightly by Jason Collett out of the gates and got back to last. She settled well for him after about 100m and travelled nicely. Jason saw an opportunity to improve along the fence which was a good move and then he dashed Humble through on the rails in the straight. She hit the lead and held them safely to the line.

It was great to finally see her break through. We have a clear pattern of racing that suits her, so we will stick to riding her quietly and stick to shorter races for a while until she shows she is over her old problems. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards from this run.
