Graceful Anna burst into contention for the $1 million Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions 3YO Trophy at the Gold Coast next month with a brilliant track record breaking win in the $100,000 Magic Millions Wyong 3YO Stakes (1200m) on Sunday afternoon.

The Canny Lad filly, trained at Warwick Farm by David Pfieffer, cruised home under Peter Robl to beat Knot Out (Not a Single Doubt) and Tallow (Street Cry)

In cruising home by two and a quarter lengths the exciting filly stopped the clock in a sizzling 1 minute 7.82 seconds - the quickest 1200 metres ever run at Wyong.

Graceful Anna (pictured), who is unbeaten in three runs this preparation, is a great advertisement for Australia's most winning thoroughbred sales company, Magic Millions.

The bonny filly has been sold three times by Magic Millions - for $14,000 at the 2007 National Weanling Sale, then $25,000 at the 2008 Gold Coast Yearling Sale and thirdly for $38,000 at the 2008 National Horses in Training Sale.

She showed ability early in her career and on debut as a two-year-old she beat all but the promising Schipper on a heavy track at Rosehill.

At her two subsequent runs after a spell she scored runaway wins at both Kembla Grange and Gosford and has won more than $121,000 in prizemoney.

The win is the biggest to date for 29-year-old horseman David Pfieffer, who inherited the horse after her most recent purchaser Oliver Koolman retired from training.

"In January I will have been training for two years," Pfieffer said. "I'm one of the youngest metropolitan based trainers and this is my biggest win so far."

"Oliver Koolman, one of my good friends, purchased her at the Gold Coast (Horses in Training Sale) and when he decided to give up training he helped me out with a few."

Pfieffer said right from the start when the filly was tested she showed good ability.

"She showed a lot early and she had a couple of minor hiccups so we took our time with her."

There was no point in rushing her. She had the one run and then we sent her to the paddock with these races in mind."

Pfieffer said he was yet to speak to rider Peter Robl, but he would certainly be looking at heading north for the riches of the Magic Millions 3YO Trophy.

"There's a Group Three race for three-year-olds in Brisbane and we might head there before the million dollar race over 1400 metres on the Gold Coast."

Graceful Anna, by veteran Darley sire Canny Lad (pictured), is the first winner to date for her dam, the lightly raced Grand Lodge (USA) mare Lamellar.
