David Pfieffer does it again

The love affair between young Warwick Farm trainer David Pfieffer and Wyong continued when Fates (Peter Robl) led all the way to win the Glen Dimplex Australia Fillies and Mares Maiden (1100m) at Wyong today.
Pfieffer trained Graceful Anna which ran a class and track record to win the Magic Millions Three Year Old Stakes at Wyong on December 6 and come close to the Australian record for 1200 metres.
Now Fates has a class record to her name, winning today in 1min 03.22 to better the previous best set by Silver Raven in January 2007.

Fates was sent to Pfieffer after she failed to reach her reserve at the June Magic Millions sales two years ago.
Her breeder, Mark Sowerby, took her home and later told blood stock agent David Joyce to give her to Pfieffer to train.

“I worked with Blue Sky Thoroughbreds but it was when I left them that Mark asked me to give her to David,” Joyce said.

“Now I work for David as his blood stock advisor.

“This filly was never going to be a two year old hence the decision to delay her debut.”

Fates had her first start in August when she failed on the Kensington track and was given a break before resuming with a third at Hawkesbury earlier this month.
