Atmospherical in Group 1 Oakleigh Plate + Weekend runners

 Atmospherical has been an exciting mare for the Pfieffer Stable and she now steps up to the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate on Saturday. Group 1 races are the ultimate goal for any owner, breeder or trainer and we are all extremely excited about her chances. We want the entire stable to be able to share this experience as it is what we all aspire to so below is a copy of the pre race email to her owners:

Atmospherical is racing at Caulfield on Saturday. She is in race 7 with Craig Williams to ride from barrier 4. It's a solid race with 18 starters and some smart horses. We get in okay at the weights under Handicap conditions with just 52.5kg on our back which gives Atmospherical a great chance. It will be a tough race but we have drawn well and Atmospherical will strip fitter from her run in the Rubiton. She will also have experience on her side this time and Craig has the benefit of what he learned last start.

''I think we are a real chance of winning the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate. There is nothing in the race that really stands out. There are plenty of nice horses but nothing that we can't beat. We are going into this race full of hope and confidence. Atmospherical is fit, healthy, drawn well, ridden by one of the best and well weighted. We can't do anymore than that and it is now up to Atmospherical and Craig Williams to deliver their best.

It's a massive thrill to have a live chance in a Group 1 so enjoy the experience and hopefully we will be bringing the Oakleigh Plate back to Warwick Farm!!!''

Kembla Saturday

Almost Grand is in race 4 with Paul King to ride from barrier 9. He is a big boy and has shown us good levels of ability with a solid recent trial. The race looks winnable and we expect him to be in the finish. He may be looking for a touch more ground in a run or two but he is fresh enough to win over 1200m first up.

Bathurst Sunday

Augusta Girl is in race 4 with Greg Ryan to ride from barrier 13. She drops in grade to Bathurst after some disappointing runs so we will try riding her more quietly this time and see if she can attack the line after taking it easy earlier in the race.
