7 runners for 2 winners and an exciting week ahead!

Congratulations to the owners of Diamonsinthenight and Thousand Carat, winners at Wyong on Thursday and Kembla on Sunday.

Diamondsinthenight came to us after having two previous trainers and a 54 weeks spell. Our apprentice Brodie Loy rode him a treat and got the cash in the last at Wyong. Thousand Carat then went to Kembla on Sunday and appreciated being ridden quietly by Tommy Berry, when coming from last for a dominant 3.8 length win. Inside Job also ran his usual honest race when finishing 3rd at Rosehill on Saturday. When I think about it, there was an obvious theme going on with the horses names that performed well on the weekend. Diamondsinthenight, Thousand Carat and Inside Job have the makings of a Hollywood crime thriller!!

Funnily enough there's more to come this week with Tahitian Black being named after a type of pearl.

RUNNERS

Goulburn Tuesday

Sheizadiva is in race 7 with Sam Clipperton to ride from barrier 10. She a three year old filly having only her second race start. She gives us the impression she will make a nice stayer, so she goes straight up to 1400m. Her debut was solid and she has really improved since. Shadow Lord looks the one to beat on paper with more experience and stronger formlines but our filly will appreciate the extra distance. The drawback is barrier 10 but she will get back and be running on anyway. Goulburn has a nice long straight and we expect her to be hitting the line hard late.

Canterbury Wednesday

Tahitian Black is in race 6 with Glyn Schofield to ride from barrier 4. It's a drop in class for Tahitian Black which will suit and we have put winkers on to switch the old boy on. He has drawn well which is important for him we have taken him back to the barriers for a lesson in jumping more quickly. He is getting on in years and hasn't won for a while but he has a class drop and a few other things in his favour.
